American Heart Association - Heartsaver

Course Description:

High quality lifesaving skills of first aid and/or CPR and use of an AED. These courses give students the knowledge needed and confidence to act in the event of an emergency.

Course Objective:

After completing the Heartsaver course student should be able to show knowledge and proficiency in:

  • First aid basics

  • Medical emergencies

  • Injury emergencies

  • Environmental emergencies

  • Preventing illness and injury

  • Adult CPR and AED use

  • Opioid-associated life-threatening emergencies

  • Optional modules in Child CPR AED and Infant CPR

Who should take this course?

The AHA’s Heartsaver courses are designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs first aid and/or CPR training and a course completion card for job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other regulatory or licensing requirements. Heartsaver courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared to act in an emergency.

CPR/AED and First Aid - $100

For learners that require a course card to meet OSHA or other regulatory agency requirements. Upon successful course completion, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years.

CPR/AED Only - $80

This course covers adult CPR and AED use, Opioid-associated life-threatening emergencies, Optional modules in Child CPR AED and Infant CPR.

First Aid Only - $80

This course covers first aid basics, medical emergencies, injury emergencies, environmental emergencies, and preventing illness and injury.
